Try the numbers listed in the poem, for the briefcase.

Honestly.....we are capable of solving many different types of stuff, but physically having a code somewhere (on a briefcase) that we can't even try different numbers on has brought this to a screeching halt.
If you cannot miraculously find the combination, try a crow bar. When that fails, try a blow torch. Sledge Hammers can also be your friend. If all fails, try dynomite.
Apparently Alex is in the briefcase, because he has not made a peep forever.
